COTTAGE

Cottages are basically the small houses usually located on the outskirts of the town. The intent of this project was to build a lakeside artist for leisure, which included his own living space for rest and a studio for his work.

The basic form of my cottage is obtained by the massing of solids. This has helped in creating various open spaces enhancing interaction and forming internal spaces.

Massing has been done in a way that it builds an inside-outside relationship between the user and

nature. An element like pergolas have been used to provide shade to the spaces, which also adds to the

massing.
